In the 2006 financial year TEXAID and its subsidiaries achieved a pleasing result. The quantity of used clothes collected rose by 5% to almost 18,500 tonnes and the proceeds distributed to the six charities and the regional institutions was increased by an amazing 28% to CHF 1.9 million (up from: CHF 1.4 million). This pleasing result is attributable to the increase in demand but also to the consistent standard of quality.
