The TEXAID consortium set up the company TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG in Schattdorf to collect used textiles and recycle them. To ensure professional processing of the used textiles, the charities invited experts working in this sector to contribute their expertise and market contacts, in return for which they received 50 % of the equity of TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG. The remaining 50 % of the equity and the votes are held by the charities. The dividends earned by the private shareholders are limited under the company statutes.
