Scope of validity

This data protection declaration explains to users the method by which, the extent to which and the purposes for which personal data is collected and used by the responsible provider TEXAID Textilverwertungs-AG, Militärstrasse 1, CH-6467 Schattdorf, e-mail info@texaid.ch, phone +41 41 874 54 00] on this web site (hereinafter referred to as the "site").

The legal basis for the data protection can be found in the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

Access data / server log files
The provider (or the web space provider) collects data every time the site is accessed (known as server log files). The access data covers: Name of the web site accessed, file, date and time of the access, transferred data volume, notification of successful access, browser type plus version, the user's operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the provider making the request.

The provider utilizes the log data solely for statistical evaluation for the purpose of operation, security and optimizing the site. However, the provider reserves the right to examine the log data later if there are reasonable grounds for suspecting illegal use.

Making contact
When the provider is contacted (for example using the contact form or via e-mail), the user's details are saved for the purpose of dealing with an inquiry and in case there are follow-up questions.

Newsletter
The newsletter informs you about ourselves and what we offer.

If you want to receive the newsletter, we require from you a valid e-mail address and information that enables us to check that you are the owner of the e-mail address provided or that its owner consents to receiving the newsletter. Other data is not collected. This data is used only for the purpose of sending the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties.

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we save your IP address and the registration date. This information is saved solely as evidence in the event of a third party misusing an e-mail address and subscribing to receive the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorized party.

You can revoke at any time your consent for saving the data, the e-mail address and their use for sending the newsletter. This can be done via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile or by notifying the contacts above.

Incorporating third-party services and content
Third-party content such as YouTube videos, Google Maps material, RSS feeds or graphics from other web sites are sometimes incorporated into this site. This always requires the providers of this content (referred to below as "third-party providers") being provided with the user's IP address. This is because without the IP address, they would not be able to send the content to the user's browser. The IP address is therefore required in order to show this content. We make every effort to only use such content from providers who use IP addresses solely for the purpose of making the content available. However, he have no control over third-party providers saving IP addresses for statistical purposes, for example. If we are or become aware of this practice, we will inform users accordingly.

Cookies
Cookies are small files that enable specific device-related information to be saved on the access device (PC, smartphone etc.). Their purpose is to make web sites easier to use (e.g by saving log-in data). They are also used for collecting the statistical data relating to web site use and for enabling it to be analyzed in order to improve the site. Users can control the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option that limits or completely prevents cookies from being saved. However, we point out that use - particularly convenient use - is restricted without cookies.

You can manage many online advertisement cookies from companies via the U.S. page http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Google Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, a web service of Google Inc. ("Google"). Google Analytics uses "cookies". These are text files saved on the user's computer that enable use of the web site to be analyzed. The information provided by the cookie about use of this web site is normally sent to a Google server in the USA and is stored there.

If IP anonymization is activated on this web site, the user's IP address is however first shortened by Google in EU member states or in other states that are party to the agreement via the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. IP anonymization is active on this web site. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this web site in order to evaluate use of the web site by visitors, to compile reports on web site activities and to provide the web site operator with additional services connected to use of the web site and the Internet.

Google does not combine with other data the IP address sent from your browser by Google Analytics. Users can prevent the saving of cookies by making a corresponding setting in their browser software. However, this site points out to the user that if they do so, they may not to be able to fully utilize all functions of this web site. Users can also prevent the acquisition of the data generated by the cookie and that relates to their use of the web site (including their IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available from the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

As an alternative to the browser add-on or in browsers on mobile devices, click on this link in order to prevent your data being acquired by Google Analytics on this web site in future. This puts an opt-out cookie on your device. If you delete your cookies, you must click on this link again.

Using Facebook social plugins
This site uses social plugins ("plugins") of the social network facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Inc., 1601 S. California Ave, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA ("Facebook"). The plugins are identifiable from one of the Facebook logos (white "f" on a blue tile, the words "Like" or a "thumbs-up" symbol), or are identified by the phrase "Facebook Social Plugin". The list and the appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be seen here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user visits a page on this site that contains one of these plugins, their browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Facebook. The content of the plugin is send by Facebook directly to their browser, which incorporates it directly into the web page. The provider therefore has no control over the amount of data that Facebook collects with the aid of this plugin and therefore informs users about what is known:

By incorporating the plugin, Facebook is informed that a user has called up the corresponding page on the site. If the user is logged on in Facebook, it is possible for Facebook to assign the visit to his/her Facebook account. When users interact with the plugins, for example by clicking the Like button or submitting a comment, the corresponding information is sent from your browser directly to Facebook and is saved there. If a user is not a member of Facebook, it is still possible for Facebook to find out and save his/her IP address. According to Facebook, only an anonymized IP address is saved in Germany.

The reason for and scope of the data acquisition and information about the way in which the data is processed and used by Facebook are explained in the data protection notices of Facebook, along with the related rights and setting options for protecting the user's privacy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to collect information about him/her via this site and link it to his/her Facebook member data, he/she must log out of Facebook before visiting this site.

+1 button of Google+
This site uses the “+1" button of the social network Google Plus, which is run by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States (“Google”). The button is identifiable from the character "+1" on a white or colored background.

When a user visits a page on this site that contains one of these buttons, their browser establishes a direct connection to the servers of Google. The content of the "+1" button is send by Google directly to their browser, which incorporates it directly into the web page. The provider therefore has no control over the amount of data that Google collects with the button. According to Google, no personal data is collected if the button is not clicked. Such data, including the IP address, is only collected from logged-in members and processed.

The reason for and scope of the data acquisition and information about the way in which the data is processed and used by Google are explained in Google's data protection notices relating to the "+1" button, along with the related rights and setting options for protecting the user's privacy: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+/policy/+1button.html and the FAQ: http://www.google.com/intl/de/+1/button/.

Twitter
This site uses the buttons of the Twitter service. These buttons are provided by Twitter Inc., 795 Folsom St., Suite 600, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. They can be recognized by words such as "Twitter" or "Follow", together with a stylized blue bird. The buttons can be used to share on Twitter an article or a page from this site, or to follow the site on Twitter.

When a user visits a web page on this site that contains one of these buttons, his/her server establishes a direct connection to the Twitter servers. The content of the Twitter buttons is sent by Twitter directly to the user's browser. The provider therefore has no control over the amount of data that Twitter collects with the aid of this plugin and therefore informs users about what is known: Insofar as is known, only the user's IP address and the URL of the web page in question are sent where the button is present, but these are not used for purposes other than displaying the button.

Further information about this can be found in the Twitter data protection declaration at http://twitter.com/privacy.

Revocation, changes, corrections and updates
The user has the right to receive on demand and free of charge information about the personal data relating to him/her that has been collected and saved. The user also has the right to have incorrect data corrected and to have his/her personal data blocked and deleted provided that there is no legal obligation to keep this data.
