Optimized recording of the amounts collected

In collaboration with the company G. Kolly SA of Le Mouret, TEXAID has developed a load readout system for its vehicles that drive around Switzerland emptying textile containers. A test vehicle with built-in axle scales is currently being trialled at its headquarters in Uri canton.

The display can show the total vehicle weight as well as the respective added load in kilograms. The new system allows more precise recording of the amounts of used textiles collected in containers. It also simplifies the drivers’ work and increases road safety, because it indicates if the vehicle is overloaded.

Following successful completion of the test phase, TEXAID will decide whether the load readout system will be installed in all collecting vehicles.
