In collaboration with the company G. Kolly SA of Le Mouret, TEXAID has developed a load readout system for its vehicles that drive around Switzerland emptying textile containers. A test vehicle with built-in axle scales is currently being trialled at its headquarters in Uri canton.
TEXAID is now an official partner of the German Red Cross and is providing support for the "Disaster prevention and climate change adaptation" GRC project in Vietnam.
In densely-populated areas of larger communities and towns, the trend is increasingly towards space-saving disposal systems. Underground containers offer a clean and aesthetically pleasing solution to handling waste products in a hygienic way.
In collaboration with the fashion label TALLY WEiJL, on 1st June 2016 TEXAID will commence a pilot project for collecting used clothes at selected branches.
As one of Europe's leading textile recycling companies, TEXAID is continually optimizing its working processes and quality standards, and guarantees ecologically sustainable and high-quality collection, sorting and recycling of used textiles.
