Meals for underprivileged people in Bürglen (canton of Thurgau)

Some of TEXAID’s second-hand clothes containers are used to benefit ADRA Switzerland, and therefore contain the relief organisation’s logo. TEXAID generates funds through the sale of second-hand clothes. These funds go to its six participating aid agencies, as well as to numerous regional organisations. One such organisation is the Zurich-based humanitarian relief agency ADRA.

Jeans for upcycling workshop at the Textile & Fashion Days

The Schweizerische Textilfachschule (Swiss Textile Technical College – STF) is to hold its Textile & Fashion Days on 22 and 23 March 2018 in Zurich. As well as other activities, there will be a workshop making bags out of used pairs of jeans. TEXAID has provided some old pairs of jeans for the upcycling workshop.

T-shirts for upcycling workshop at Un-Dress event

On 21 March 2018 an Un-Dress event will be held in St. Gallen on the topic of "The future of sustainable fashion today". Workshops will be organised in addition to a fashion show and a pop-up store. TEXAID has provided t-shirts for the upcycling workshop.

Unique garments from old textiles

In the newly created collection by Rafael Kouto, a fashion designer from Ticino, the focus is on recycling, upcycling, sustainable design, and environmentally responsible production in the fashion industry. TEXAID has provided him with individual old textiles for the project.

Sewing courses for refugees: TEXAID provides used jeans

The Social Fabric Association has been offering open sewing courses for refugees in Zurich since 2015. TEXAID has now donated used jeans to enable the organisation to implement a range of projects.
