New collection by Rafael Kouto

The fashion designer from Ticino has recently launched his new collection. Kouto uses various working techniques to create new unique garments (100% remade in Switzerland) from a selection of TEXAID used clothing.

TEXAID IN THE MEDIA: SRF 1 REGIONAL JOURNAL AARGAU SOLOTHURN

In today’s regional journal Aargau Solothurn, the SRF reports on the introduction of the regulation for the avoidance and disposal of waste (VVEA) in relation to used textile collection in the canton of Aargau. Philipp Stoller, managing director TEXAID Switzerland, was also able to say a few words on the matter.

Terre des Hommes - Innovation space FabLab

TEXAID has been supporting the projects of Terre des Hommes for many years. Numerous used clothes bins all over Switzerland are used to collect to the benefit of the child welfare organisation and are provided with the respective logo. TEXAID generates funds from the sale of the used clothes, which it pays to Terre des Hommes, as well as to the six involved aid organisations.

Raising awareness for environmental issues through play

COSEDEC, a company based in western Switzerland, is committed to raising awareness for environmental issues in schools and among the general public. They develop community games to raise awareness for environmental issues for various types of events. The "Fashion Détox" game was developed with the support of TEXAID.

"Together We Recycle" - a collaboration between Triumph and TEXAID

"Together We Recycle" - is the new Triumph's recycling programme in collaboration with TEXAID. The collection campaign began in the Beldona branches at the end of July 2019 and all participating Triumph shops across Europe, as well as selected specialist retailers, will be collecting used textiles from the end of August 2019. Customers will have the possibility of handing their used clothes in the collection box.

Wind music project for primary school pupils in Schlieren

In the Schlieren area, there are several TEXAID old clothes containers which collect for the benefit of Stadtjugendmusik Schlieren, among others. TEXAID generates financial resources through the sale of old clothes which it pays out to numerous regional organisations and associations in addition to the six participating relief organisations. This also includes Stadtjugendmusik Schlieren.

TEXAID for Climate: distinction for communities

In collaboration with Swiss Climate, TEXAID has issued a distinction for the ecological collection of used clothing to the communities for the first time. The objective of the distinction is to highlight to the communities that sustainable used textile management relieves the burden on the environment.
