Assistance was offered to the local management team by way of an internal work group in the context of internal audits. In particular, topics related to occupational health and safety, personnel management, and employment conditions were identified, and corresponding mea- sures taken. EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT TEXAID can rely on its employees being both well-trained and dedicated on all sites. TEXAID employees are the backbone of which busi- ness activities are conducted and common goals pursued. TEXAID’s corporate culture is governed by the continuing education and professional de- velopment of employees. Health, well-being and job satisfaction are the ba- sic elements of an inspiring work environment. This is a concept that is also rooted in TEXAID’s “Strategy 2020.” The core of the TEXAID work culture exists of con- tinuing education courses on specific topics rela- ted to work safety, health protection, environmen- tal and quality management, as well as classes on the value-adding activities of the company. Since social compliance maturity levels are not equal in all companies, several measures have been defined within the sustainability strategy to continuously improve work conditions. Employees of all hierarchy levels contribute to the development of staff-related processes by parti- cipating in periodic employee surveys and work- shops. 44
